Letter sent to management regarding proposals for the AHMP service

For members information

Dear Natasha Sloman,

Re. Reconfiguration of the Approved Mental Health Professional Service.

I am writing to express the Branch’s concern at the lack of meaningful consultation with regard to the proposed reconfiguration of the Approved Mental Health Professional Service which you state will become operational in January 2013. As there has not been any proper consultation you proposal is unacceptable.

We do not consider this reconfiguration to be a minor organizational change. Indeed you are proposing major changes which have huge implications for the affected workforce and we demand that you do enter into meaningful negotiations with UNISON.

If you fail to do so we will put this reconfiguration of the Approved Mental Health Professional Service into dispute.

Yours sincerely,

Jane Doolan,
Branch Secretary.
