We will be consulting widely over the changes to the LGPS in the next three weeks prior to the full ballot of the membership that begins on 31 July to be carried out by the national union.
There will be two branch meetings on Thursday 12th July at 12-30 and at 4-30 in the central library big hall.
Our aim is to consult with you all as widely as possible given the tight timescale.
Branch officers are available to speak at meetings and brief members on 9,10 and 11 July.
The branch office will be conducting a mail out over the next two days so these should reach workplaces by the end of the week.
This will include:
- A letter from Branch Secetary Jane Doolan
- Your consultative ballot paper
- Leaflets for and against the changes being proposed
You will be able to reply to the ballot by fax and by by email to : admin@islingtonunison.org.uk
The formal ballot will begin to your homes on 31 July
We will be sending out more information shortly, please look out for it
Mike
